Publishing record

Pages are published under the site name. The current repository does not contain evidence for a named author's biography or a person-by-person human review of every published sentence, so this policy does not claim either. Bible quotation text is kept separate from the site's explanatory notes; corrections are tracked in the project records and source history.

Our stance on randomness

This site occupies a careful middle position, and we state it openly: a randomly drawn verse is a devotional prompt, not divine direction. We do not present the generator as a way to receive decisions from God, and our content will never encourage treating Scripture as a lottery or an answer machine. Where the historic practice of random Bible opening is discussed, we present both its long tradition and the legitimate criticisms of it.

Accuracy standards

  • Verse texts are machine-pulled from public-domain datasets at build time, never hand-typed.
  • References (book, chapter, verse) are validated against the source data automatically.
  • Notes state the verse's plain sense and flag, where needed, that fuller context matters.
  • Claims about the site's own mechanics (pool size, no-repeat behavior, translations used) are written to match the actual code and data.

Corrections

Confirmed errors in verse text, references, site behavior, or factual claims are queued for correction with an evidence record. A page's verification date is updated only when that page is actually reviewed. Report anything to contact@getrandombibleverse.com or through the contact form.

Independence and monetization

The current source contains no affiliate links or ad placement code. Directory badges in the homepage footer are outbound listings, not editorial evidence. Any future sponsorship or advertising should be disclosed where it appears and reflected in this policy before release.

Feedback

Corrections, missing context and bug reports can be sent through the contact page. A message creates a review input; it does not automatically change the verse pool or guarantee a response time.
